The Transportation Club of Detroit is a non-profit corporation. Prior to 1984 it was known as the Traffic Club of Detroit. In 1984, the Traffic Club of Detroit and the Motor City Traffic Club of Detroit merged to form the current Transportation Club of Detroit. The purpose for which the TCD was organized is to promote and encourage the highest standards of education and technical competence among the members of the transportation industry.
